How much is registration?

$135 per skater

If you register before 01/21/2024, you will have the option to purchase a race T-shirt (Performance 100% moisture-wicking polyester, light blue) for $25.

How many registration spots are there?

The race is limited to 120 participants.

When is the registration deadline?

Entries must be RECEIVED by 5:00 P.M. on Wednesday, 01/31/2024.

NO LATE ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED.

When is the check-in time?

  • Friday, 02/16/2024 – 6:00 to 8:00 P.M.
  • Saturday, 02/17/2024 – 7:30 to 8:30 A.M.

Skaters must check-in during this time to participate in the race. If a skater does not check-in by 8:30 A.M. on Saturday, 02/17/2024 they will not be allowed to race.

What equipment is required for the race?

The following equipment must be worn by all participants.

  • Hard Shell Helmet
  • Eye Protection
  • Neck Protection
    Recommended Equipment: Full-Body Cut-resistant Protection (Either integrated into the skin suit or separate)
  • Full Finger Gloves (Preferably cut-proof)
  • Knee Pads
  • Shin Guards
  • Long Sleeves

In addition, per USS rule “all speed skates must have the tubes closed and the blade ends rounded off, with a radius of 10 mm”. Make sure to bring in your blades during check-in so the officials can inspect the tip radius of your blades.

Is this an Ability or Age-based race?

This is an Ability Meet. Skaters will be grouped according to their seed time, with consideration being given to the age of skaters in each group. With the exception of NEST divisions which may be mixed gender.

Will there be a practice ice?

Yes, there will be two practice ice sessions available and there is no additional charge to attend.

  • Friday, 02/16/2024 from 6:30 to 9:00 P.M.
  • Saturday, 02/17/2024 from 8:00 to 9:00 A.M.

Is the rink an Olympic sized rink or hockey rink?

Olympic sized for fast, exciting and safer racing!

Will snacks be provided for skaters?

Water and snacks will be provided for the SKATERS.

Is there parking at the rink?

Yes.

Who do I speak to if I have a question or concern before or during the race?

The protocol for this race is to speak with Meet Director – Victoria Groseclose. Please talk with your coach first before addressing your concern to the Meet Director. Assistant Meet Directors are Raquel Samson and Ania Wacht are also available to address any questions or concerns that you may have about the race. It is not appropriate to address your concern directly with any of the officials without prior communicating with the Meet Director.
